Pay Secrecy

From 7 June 2023, employment contracts are prohibited from containing pay secrecy clauses, being those clauses that restrict an employee’s right to:

·  share or not share information about their pay, or employment terms and conditions that would be needed to work out their pay (such as their hours of work), and

·  ask other employees about their pay, , or employment terms and conditions that would be needed to work out their pay (such as their hours of work
